Guru Purnima Celebrated with Reverence and Devotion at The New Delhi Public School, Baikunthpur

Students offered tilak and sought blessings through charan vandana; celebrated the glory of teachers through speeches, songs, and posters.

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a heartfelt and grand program was organized on 10th July at The New Delhi Public School, Narsinghpur, Baikunthpur. The event aimed to instill in students a deep sense of reverence and gratitude towards their teachers, while celebrating the rich tradition of Indian culture.

The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the portrait of Goddess Saraswati, filling the atmosphere with divine energy. The spiritual ambiance was further enhanced with the chanting of sacred shlokas like “Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu…”, reverberating the hall with devotion.

🎤 Inspiring Speeches & Posters:
Students from primary to middle school passionately delivered speeches on themes like “Importance of Guru in Life,” “Guru is God,” and “Role of Guru in Indian Culture.”
They also created colorful, thought-provoking posters depicting the Guru as a guiding light, source of inspiration, and spiritual beacon. The poster exhibition drew admiration from all.

🎶 Melodious Songs Expressing Gratitude:
Emotionally charged performances of devotional songs like “Guru Bina Gyaan Kahaan Se Laaun” and “Tere Charanon Mein Mera Jeevan Savare” deeply moved the audience, reflecting students’ heartfelt gratitude towards their mentors.

🙏 Tilak & Charan Vandana – A Touching Moment:
The most touching moment of the event was when students offered tilak and performed charan vandana (reverent touch of the feet) to their teachers and present parents, seeking blessings – creating a deeply emotional and exemplary scene.

🗣️ Principal’s Motivational Address:
Principal Mrs. T. Gelot emphasized the eternal significance of Guru Purnima, stating, “A guru is the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance. In today’s materialistic world, the guidance of a guru is more important than ever.”

👩‍🏫 Teachers’ Gracious Presence:
All teaching staff, including Mr. Roshan Pathak, Mrs. Sarita Chaturvedi, Kajal Kashyap, Janvi Singh, Anamta Parvez, Umeshwari Kulmitra, Akanksha Mishra, Pragya Mishra, and Akash Robert, graced the occasion and praised the students’ efforts.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents’ Participation Enhanced the Celebration:
The enthusiastic presence of many parents added warmth to the celebration. They appreciated the initiative, calling it a meaningful step towards embracing Indian values and traditions.

The event served as a unique and beautiful effort by the school to foster respect for teachers and cultural heritage among students. It concluded with the National Anthem and a collective gesture of gratitude towards all Gurus.
